About us

We help underserved communities
of Balochistan thrive

Who we are

SouthWest Welfare & Support Organization (SWWSO) is a nonprofit working to expand educational and economic opportunities in underserved communities across Balochistan. Through community centres, libraries, scholarships, female literacy initiatives, and skills training, we empower youth—especially girls and underprivileged students—with the knowledge, support, and tools they need to build brighter futures.

Why SouthWest?
SouthWest represents Balochistan, Pakistan’s southwestern region, reflecting our commitment to the communities we serve. Our monogram draws inspiration from traditional Baloch handwoven patterns, symbolizing the region’s rich heritage, resilience, and craftsmanship.

Our story:
from My Scholarship
to a movement

SWWSO began with a small group of friends from Tameer-i-Nau College who launched My Scholarship — a fee-concession programme for underprivileged students. The idea grew into community learning centres and libraries in Pishin, Saryab, and Lore Karez — now hubs for study, mentorship, and exam preparation across Balochistan.

Why this matters

Education in Balochistan needs urgent and lasting support

Our Journey

SWWSO began with a small group of friends from Tameer-i-Nau College who launched My Scholarship — a fee-concession programme for underprivileged students. What began as an informal initiative grew into community learning centres and libraries in Pishin, Saryab, and Lore Karez — now hubs for study, mentorship, and examination preparation across Balochistan.

Our Impact

50+ students placed in jobs through our learning spaces
4 qualified Assistant Commissioners & Section Officers via the Balochistan Public Service Commission
3 community centres with libraries — Pishin, Saryab, Lore Karez

Looking Ahead

A Balochistan where every child and young person — especially girls — has access to quality education, modern skills, mentorship, and the opportunity to build a better future with dignity and confidence. We are expanding community centres with libraries beyond Pishin, Saryab, and Lore Karez, with female literacy and digital/AI skills at the heart of our future plans.
