“The library at Sariab didn’t just give me a place to study — it gave me the environment, discipline, and community that turned my dream of becoming an Assistant Commissioner into reality.”
My name is Israr Ahmed. I belong to Tehsil Dasht, District Mastung, and currently reside on Sariab Road, Quetta. I am proud to have recently qualified for the Provincial Civil Service through the Balochistan Public Service Commission and been appointed as Assistant Commissioner.
My journey began in 2022, right after graduation. Like many aspirants, I started with great determination, but soon faced significant hurdles. The biggest challenge was the lack of a proper study environment at home. Frequent interruptions, limited resources, and a sense of isolation made it difficult to stay consistent and focused.
Everything changed when I joined the community library at Sariab. It became a true game-changer for me. For nearly three years, I prepared for both the written exams and the viva in its structured and peaceful environment. The intellectual atmosphere — surrounded by hundreds of fellow aspirants — created healthy competition and constant motivation. Sharing ideas and discussions greatly enriched my preparation.
There were challenges along the way, but the discipline, focus, and community the library provided far outweighed them. It gave me exactly what I needed to succeed — and it can do the same for countless other students across Balochistan.
